What does the procedure entail?
Injection of fillers usually requires the use of either a topical numbing cream or a local injection of numbing medication. Then, using a small needle, the dermal filler is injected into each wrinkle or scar that requires treatment. Some mild burning and stinging is normal after the treatment and usually quickly resolves.The results can last from three months to five years, depending on the filler being use.
Side effects of the treatment are uncommon. But occasionally some patients will experience following conditions: limited allergic reactions (hypersensitivity), ulceration, reactivation of herpes infection, bacterial infection, localised bruising, and granuloma formation.

Dermal filler treatment
Nasolabial folds are commonly known as smile lines or laugh lines. Nasolabial folds are created naturally when the facial muscles are used to laugh or smile. Some of the causes for nasolabial folds are that as we age the facial skin loses elasticity and begins to sag. Also, with the loss of elasticity, the natural fat pad in the upper part of the cheek begins to droop as it weakens in the area of the lower eyelid intensifying nasolabial folds.
